December 2018 Shopping Dates at Our Kids' Closet

We are open on the 1st Thursday (6-8 pm) and 1st Saturday (9-11 am) each month. Our dates for the month of December 2018 are:

•  Saturday, December 1st 9-11am
•  Thursday, December 6th 6-8pm

If you live in Washington, Waukesha, or Ozaukee county, are of low income, and your children are in need of clothing (newborn through 14/16), you are welcome to stop in to shop.
Our Kids' Closet exists only because of the generous donations of like-new clothing, so please keep us in mind and drop off some of those clothes that you no longer need. We accept newborn through size 14/16.  Our 24 hour donation bin is located at St. Boniface Church or drop off on any of our open shopping days at Columbia St. Mary's Clinic - both in Germantown, WI.

Crossway Church Donation

Our Kids' Closet would like to extend a thank-you to the generous donors of Crossway Church.  Your large donation of like-new and new clothing was a very much appreciated gift that we are excited to pass on to families that visit our facility.  I also really enjoyed showing the Crossway Volunteers around Our Kids’ Closet and appreciated their help sorting and hanging up some of the donated clothing items.  We are all looking forward to having the these items available for our busy September shopping days and beyond.  I know that the families we serve will appreciate it, and so do we!

Project Linus comes through again

I was so excited to find these beautiful blankets in our collection bin this week! The families that shop at Our Kids' Closet will be so happy to be able to pick out one of these snuggly blankets to take home with them.  A special thank-you to the artists who donated their time and talent creating them and to Project Linus (West Bend Chapter)  for passing the love forward............Our Kids' Closet.

St. Boniface New Socks & Undies

This past month St. Boniface Parish held a New Socks & Undie collection and boy was it a success! Because our space is generously donated to us by Columbia St. Mary's Clinic and our like-new clothing comes to us through community donations, one of the few on-going finacial drains on us is the purchase of new socks and underwear. Having these items available for our families to choose from is such a blessing.  For most of us, if we need to purchase new items it's not even something we think about: We just go out find the best deal we can and make our purchase. But for many families these types of purchases must be put off until the money is available. Putting off a purchase isn't the easiest of things to do when the need is socks or underwear for your kids.

So we would like to say thank-you to everyone who donated to this drive and also to community for their on-going donations of like-new clothing. Together we are making a difference!
